The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

Before sharing some of the more basic areas of grant writing, I thought it might be helpful to offer links and information about the The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009...even if only for myself.

The Bill is 407 pages of law intended to "jumpstart our economy". If you have the time, which most of us don't, read it. If not, I suggest you look at the following sites:

http://www.charitychannel.com/
http://www.go-aagp.org/

You can also track the progress of the Recovery Act through http://www.recovery.gov/

This Thursday, April 2, there will be a teleclass hosted though the Charity Channel. The class will cover:

  • How the money in the Recovery Act is allocated
  • The state’s role in disbursing funds
  • How the Recovery Act benefits K-12 Education
  • How to find Recovery Act RFPs
  • What to consider before applying for Recovery Act money
  • Essential steps your organization should take now to apply for funds

Information on the class can be found though AAGP or the Charity Channel. Discounts are given for AAGP members.

~Cheers!
